Job Description

Our client is seeking an experienced Civil or Environmental Engineer with experience in Remediation site design to work as an integral part of a design team as lead engineer or task leader in the study, evaluation, design, and implementation of demolition projects.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Mid- to Senior-level technical resource may serve as technical advisor for team.
  • Provides specialized technical input to studies, design, and implementation of environmental infrastructure projects.
  • Participates in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables.
  • Develops construction cost estimates and estimates of technical efforts for projects.
  • Performs quality control review of design calculations or drawings.
  • Prepares technical specification sections.
  • Provides input to the development of engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements.

Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering from an ABET accredited university.
  • 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Professional Engineer license in the State of Ohio and/or other states with the ability to obtain an Ohio license within 6 months.
  • Required to travel (up to 25%).
  • US Citizen or US Permanent Resident.
  • Valid driver’s License.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering from an ABET accredited university
  • Strong sense of commitment, a willingness to learn, with a desire to work as part of a team in a dynamic and fast-paced deadline driven environment.
  • Ability to maintain strong relationships with internal and external clients and coordinate among multi-disciplinary design teams.
  • Demonstrate ability to develop technical and design documents following client and local and/or federal code requirements.
  • Familiar with standard engineering practices, construction, and operation techniques, principles, and procedures associated with industrial facilities.
  • Demonstrate experience in solid waste management, including design and/or closure of landfills and other solid and/or liquid waste impoundments.
  • Demonstrate ability to prioritize numerous ongoing tasks while delegating and managing staff carrying out these tasks.
  • Demonstrate ability to develop construction cost estimates and estimates of technical efforts for projects.
  • Demonstrate ability to perform quality control review of design calculations, drawings, and technical specifications.
