Job Description
Pay: $40-48/hr
Overview
- Construction and operation of water treatment plant
- Construction of landfill
- Operation of landfill
Duties
- Monitor construction activities of Engineer/Procure/Construct (EPC) contractors and their sub-contractors
- Document observations and conditions
- Assist with monthly inspection of NAP rain cover to ensure integrity
- Assist with CCR dam inspection
- Assist with E & S inspections
- Coordinate DDC permits
- Monitor EPC to ensure safe working conditions and adherence to laws and regulations
- Assist Project Engineer in maintaining physical plan sets
Qualifications &/or Desired Skills
- Knowledge of civil and general construction practices
- Knowledge of mechanical and electrical construction
- Ability to read and interpret Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID’s), construction plans, specifications, and standards (Industry & client)
- Possess Responsible Land Disturber (RLD) certification from Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ), or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire
- Strong organizational skills and self-discipline to manage oneself without constant daily oversight
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Basic knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) safety standards
- Basic knowledge of computer programs, ex: Excel, Word, Microsoft Teams, Outlook, Blue Beam, IHS Markit
Soft Skills:
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written
- Ability to lead, collaborate, or work effectively in a variety of teams, including multi-disciplinary teams
Nice to Have Skills:
- ACI certification;
- HDPE welding certification;
- Geomembrane installation testing
- Knowledge of landfill construction requirements
Years of Experience:
- 5+ years of related experience
Education:
- HS diploma/GED minimum
- OSHA 10 or higher/First Aid or CPR Certificate
