In general, the QA/QC Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring that the field work is being carried out with the overall project quality plan, engineered drawings and project specifications. The QA/QC Coordinator shall work closely with the Construction Oversight Personnel to ensure the contractor’s work is of satisfactory quality.
Responsibilities:
- Review and control of all Quality Documents submitted to the owner
- Verify quality requirements are specified to contractors
- Participate in quality inspections
- Monitor the disposition of and distribute Corrective Action Requests (CARs) and Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs)
- Track all CARs and NCRs to closure
- Monitor the progress of Quality Program
- Recommend and implement improvements when required
- Coordinate inspections with Owner’s QA Contractor
- Maintain Issues log
- Perform periodic audits of the Owner’s onsite 3rd Party QA Contractor
- Ensure work related to SWP 609 and SWP 619 is within compliance
- Maintain all records related to both SWP 609 and SWP 619
- Ensure that all equipment used for inspections are properly maintained and calibrated
- Provide summary write ups for each inspection detailing the findings
- Stay up to date with all applicable codes and standards
- Ensure the monthly LAP Liner Inspection is performed and all records are retained appropriately
- Review Contractors Monthly Quality Reports to ensure Contract Compliance
- Review Contractors Daily Reports to ensure Contract Compliance

- Quality Control/Management Background/Coal ash experience

- Overtime may be needed depending on work load. Typical work week is 50 hours
