Job Description


Duties:
?Responsible for the development, documentation and validation of reliability tests spanning their product portfolio. Testing can be mechanical, environmental or chemical in nature and a person with a broad technical background / foundation and a research mindset would be well suited to the role. They would be responsible for gaining an understanding of the stress condition we are trying to replicate, work with various teams to gather user behavior data and design any test fixtures or equipment, document the process and procedure through Keynote, work with a technical writer to get a formal document created and validate the test through a GR&R. At times the person may need to interface with equipment vendors while sourcing new test capabilities, though we have teams to handle negotiating rates and handling payment, etc. The ideal candidate would have excellent written and verbal communication skills and allows the data to guide their development process and next steps. A person with a reliability testing background is ideal along with a degree in engineering or an equivalent bachelors in a relevant science such as physics or chemistry

- Execute battery EE level tests and provide accurate result report.
- Generate KPI for day to day lab activities.
- Reviews BMU schematics and layout to verify conformance and to determine testability.
- Conducts investigations and prepares reports to support investigations.
- Writes plans, co-develops procedures and analyzes data for validation activities.
- Running complex test setups using high accuracy test equipment.
- Troubleshooting equipment and sample issues, maintaining and solving test equipment problems as needed.
- Use various types of measurement equipment to test batteries and cells.

Skills:
• Understanding of EE bench test equipment and use and appropriate application.(Oscilloscopes, meters, data-loggers, power supplies, etc.)
• Highly experienced in a lab setting, bringing a can-do attitude with a willingness to take ownership and drive results.
• Relies on data to justify technical decisions and ability to clearly explain technical issues.
• Self-starter with excellent time management skills and curious spirit and willing to work in fast pace team.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.
• Proven ability to work independently under high pressure and comfortable working in a dynamic environment
• Have a previous track record of success conducting tests - should also be able to process and summarize data.
• Possess a high level of attention to details.
• Familiarity with test platforms including Automated Test Equipment utilizing data acquisition and instrumentation control software such as python or similar test scripting.
• 3 - 5 years of experience is needed.
