Job Description


Education & Experience: BS in Mechanical Engineering with 6+ years in the industrial automation industry or equivalent experience. MS in Engineering and/or equivalent experience desired but not required.

Qualifications
  • Mechanical design experience using SolidWorks or Catia V5
  • Technical mastery of automated/robotic manufacturing cells and/or processes
  • Demonstrates full understanding of machine build and commissioning process, operator ergonomics, and designing for manufacturing.
  • Understands production processes with the ability to problem-solve complex issues
  • Understanding of Pneumatic, Hydraulic, Electrical and Mechanical systems
  • Demonstrated experience in a leadership role managing engineers

Experience should include work in one or more of the following areas:
  • Automated systems such as machine tools or robotic cells
  • Aerostructures (i.e. fuselage, wing) manufacturing
  • Assembly fixtures, jigs, tools
  • Manufacturing applications with composite materials

Job Responsibilities
  • Manage all aspects of the engineering group for custom automation projects. The engineering team under the management of this position will:
    • Size mechanical equipment such as motors, gears, actuators, hydraulics, conveyors, and piping
    • Create mechanical designs using 3D modeling software (i.e. Catia V5 or Solidworks)
    • Create part drawings from 3D models required for parts manufacturing
    • Assist sales with application design for concepts to potential customers
