Job Description
Our Client has an outstanding opportunity for a project level engineer based in Long Beach, Orange or Los Angeles offices. This position will work with licensed engineers on challenging projects with career growth opportunities. You will work in a supportive environment under the direction of a California PE with responsibilities for field and office duties, including the following:
- Lead tasks and events for retrofits, large repairs, equipment optimization, and routine O&M of various remediation systems.
- Recommend investigative approaches for the collection and correlation of engineering and scientific data.
- Interpret design drawings to determine constructability, prepare bid packages, and implementation of said drawings.
- Ability to review various documents, identify data gaps, discrepancies, and omissions and propose approaches and solutions to solve challenges encountered.
- Prepare remedial investigations/remedial feasibility studies, remedial action plans, workplans, and related reports to guide site investigation and remediation projects.
- Develop bid packages, cost estimates, and parts lists for remediation plans and activities.
- Establish and track budgets, schedules, subcontractor procurement, resource plans, and stakeholder notifications.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior level staff.
Minimum Requirements
- BS in Environmental Engineering or related engineering field
- 4 years of experience
- Engineer in training
- Current 40-hour HAZWOPER certificate
- Ability to pass a physical including drug and alcohol
- US Citizenship is required
Preferred Qualifications
- MS in Environmental Engineering or related field
- California PE
- OSHA 10 or 30-hour Construction Safety and Health certificate
- Pay: $69/k-$126/k
- Spread: 20% Direct Hire
- Location: Long Beach, CA or Orange County, CA or LA,CA
- WFH: Hybrid
- Relocation: Yes - in form of a sign on bonus
- Must Haves:
- Strong understanding of remediation system design, cost estimating, construction, and O&M.
- BS in Environmental Engineering or related engineering field
- 4 years of experience
- Engineer in training (EIT) or (FE)
- This is a Level III position but will consider II or IV
- Level II positions – Minimum 2 yrs of experience
- Level III positions – Minimum 4 yrs of experience
- Level IV positions – Minimum 6 yrs of experience
- Level V positions – Minimum 8 yrs of experience
- Level VI positions – Minimum 10 yrs of experience
