Job Description
OVERALL ROLE: The Maintenance Manager is responsible for the group supervision of the maintenance, automation, and custodial staff. Provide training, leadership, and coaching to team members.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Hire and train department staff
- Supervision of the storeroom, water treatment, co-generation, and custodial department
- New construction
- Annual budget of capital expenditures
- HVAC
- Repairs and improvements to buildings and grounds
- EPA regulations
- Purchase of molding machines and related auxiliaries
- Sale of used equipment
- Interface between the Police, Fire Departments, and various Insurance Companies
- Responsible for quarterly, semiannual, and annual departmental objectives
- Enforce all company policies, rules, and regulations. Champion safety through leading by example, training and enforcement of policies.
- Conduct performance appraisals, recommend transfers, promotions, pay increases when appropriate.
- Work with Human Resources to address any disciplinary actions, employee complaints, or discharges in accordance with company policies.
- Responsible for training and developing employees to ensure competency in all positions and at all levels.
- Screw and barrel repair and related problems.
- Ensure that the company upholds and works towards finding new, innovative, and economically reductive ways to stay and become “greener”.

- Continue to grow job specific knowledge and use tools to identify and assist with continuous improvement.
- Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas
- Working in a clean manufacturing environment that may include moderate noise levels and will require spending a significant amount of time moving around on the manufacturing floor.
- Ability to stand and/or walk up to constantly during the shift.
- Regular periods of prolonged sitting at desk and working on a computer.
- Lifting up to fifty-five pounds (55)
- Bending, stooping, twisting, balancing, kneeling and crouching is involved in the regular execution of duties.
- Ability to push and pull items.
- Ability to ascend/descend, work atop and traverse molding machines, assembly equipment, ladders and aerial lift equipment,
- Ability to work occasionally in small cramped spaces.
- Must wear appropriate PPE including fire retardant apparel as required.
- High school diploma or equivalent, plus additional broad specialized training equal to 2 years of college is required.
- At least 5 years of experience in related work including thorough knowledge of plant engineering and injection molding machine and related equipment maintenance.
- Requires high level of skill in electronic, electrical, and mechanical technology.
- Ability to perform diversified duties including intensive knowledge of plant & machine maintenance and the use of wide range of procedures.
- Requires the use of judgment in the analysis of facts and circumstances surrounding individual problems and transactions and in the determination of actions to be taken within the limits of standard or accepted practice.
