Maintenance Technician
- Overview Maintain an expert level working knowledge of the companies’ ERP (NAV) utilizing its functionality and maintaining, reviewing, and initializing reports, forms, and miscellaneous tasks/ screens as required.
- Ability to handle and complete, start to finish, secondary tasks and assignments as directed by Upper Management as they arise, within reasonable timelines as provided.
- Ability to adhere to, observe, and follow the policies and regulations of our company Corporate and local levels.
- Ability to conform and adapt to changing conditions commensurate with a small team, as Maintenance Mechanic, there will be times when you are asked to cover the roles and duties of vacant (short or long term) positions within the team. No job, role, duty, or responsibility is outside of the scope of this position.
- Responsible to maintain records and logs (physical and electronic) of repairs and maintenance to our machines i.e. PM and Repair work orders in NAV.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve all technical maintenance and repair issues.
- Responsible to provide daily feedback and updates to Production department personnel and planners to help utilize our lines and machinery to best accomplish production requirements.
- Prioritize tasks and repairs to reduce downtime. Execute repairs and installations timely and efficiently again focusing on increasing efficiency and maximizing uptime.
- Responsible for maintaining, inventorying and managing spare parts/ consumable items on hand, while demonstrating justifiable fiscal responsibility.
- Develop an expertise level familiarity with our Food Safety Programs including our CCP’s, CP’s, GMP’s, and SSOP’s . As a Maintenance Mechanic, Second Shift, your Primary Function is to contribute to the operational success of the our team at the Pittston Production Facility, ensuring Safe Quality Food Products are produced efficiently through the demonstration and execution of your Essential Duties and Responsibilities.
- Maintain and ensure a safe working environment for all employees. Prioritize Food Safety through Allergen Awareness, GMP’s, Production Room Cleanliness, etc.
- Maximize production uptime. Maintain all our organizations production equipment and property, and vested interests and properties, i.e. building maintenance etc. Support the maintenance / operator teams, including technicians, mechanics, and machine operators, supporting and training team members.
