Summary: We’re searching for a driven individual who can help us streamline daily operations to ensure efficiency and adherence to budget across all departments. The production operations specialist should be comfortable communicating with people throughout the organization, able to solve problems and improvise as needed, and adept at estimating and managing time for a variety of tasks. The ideal candidate is a natural coordinator who has a strong sense of big-picture objectives and a sharp eye for detail.
Education & experience:
  • Two or more years of experience in an operational role or shop floor lead/management role (ideally in a manufacturing/OEM environment)
  • Experience utilizing ERP system SAP (required)
Qualifications:
  • Proven organizational skills, including time management
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Self-sufficiency and an ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other productivity applications and platforms
Job responsibilities:
  • Monitor day-to-day operations, report on performance, and recommend actionable improvements when necessary
  • Order supplies and manage inventory, coordinating with accounting and finance department to adhere to budget
  • Create procedures and protocols (such as checklists) and distribute to staff
  • Communicate and coordinate with employees and vendors
  • Onboard and train new employees to ensure that they adhere to standard operating procedures
Objectives of this Role:
  • Develop and implement department-wide quality control measures
  • Recommend new procedures for increasing the efficiency of day-to-day operations
  • Maintain communication with Plant Manager, staff members, and vendors to ensure adherence to protocols across key touch points
  • Assist the Plant Manager in developing, planning, and coordinating operational activities
  • Oversee inventory management practices and improve them when necessary
  • Ensure that operations are in legal compliance with local and national regulations
