Roadway Design Engineer

Job Description
The ideal candidate will assist their department by performing basic engineering-related tasks including research, development, design, and delivery on assigned project(s).
What you’ll be doing:
- Contributes to the preparation or modification of reports, plans, and designs for projects
- Assists in the preparation of project quantity and cost estimates
- Participate in the collection and analysis of data and preparation of satisfactory designs
- Perform design calculations and conduct investigative analyses toward completion of assigned design tasks, and direct preparation of design specifications
- Perform quantity estimates, detailing and check calculations and drawings
- Organize scheduling of specific tasks and assignments
- Performs other duties as assigned
What you need to have:
- BS degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited four-year college or university
- 4 – 10 years of experience in roadway design
- EIT Certification
- Proficient with OpenRoads, MicroStation, and/or Geopak
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Be a brand ambassador for the company who engages in diversity and inclusion,
- Be self-motivated to meet individual goals and maintain accountability in a team environment
- Exercise initiative and independent judgement in the solution of work problems
- Be able to communicate effectively- verbal and written
- Be able to multi-task in a team environment
