Job Description


The Digital Delivery Manager serves as a project manager for the delivery of all aspects of digital project delivery.  The Digital Delivery Manager will be assigned to various project teams across T&D Business Lines.  Project assignment responsibilities include all aspects of the digital project delivery. The Digital Delivery Manager will be responsible for fostering a culture of proactive communication, continuous improvement, and a focus on growth and profitability. The position will assist the project team and manager in the development of the digital project management strategy for furthering our clients position, and facilitating collaboration with Transmission & Distribution activities, pursuits, and projects.
  • Facilitates / initiates BIM coordination.
  • Facilitate collaboration with other offices to coordinate digital delivery (DD) business plans.
  • Develops DD/BIM Project Execution Plan, Project Criteria, DD Scope.
  • Communicates BIM coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Works with Construction Team on design/build projects to coordinate fabrication models in field.
  • Review and approve utilization project digital delivery meta data.
  • Run digital model presentation effort with clients
  • Prepares virtual reality simulations for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Participates in proposal process to incorporate DD aspects
  • Construction simulations.
  • Coordinates delivering digital products to clients.b
  • Assist with project pursuit decisions including “go/no-go” decisions, marketing strategies, proposals, pricing, contract terms and conditions specific to digital delivery.
  • Direct QC process to monitor the development of digital delivery scopes of work, schedules and budgets during the pursuit process and during execution to help highlight any potential digital delivery issue areas. 
  • Responsible for monitoring project metrics and meeting with Project Managers to: Promote and confirm implementation of our Quality Control procedures; Oversee implementation of project management methods, procedures, and tools; track and oversee schedule development and compliance on projects; identify and oversee implementation of effective change management practices on Transmission & Distribution projects; proactively work through corrective actions where deficiencies are identified.
  • Responsible for ensuring alignment and support of T&D.CHI staff development, quality control and resource coordination.
  • Recruits, hires, develops, and retains outstanding employee-owners.
  • Function as an HR manager for rest of T&D.CHI Digital Delivery team
  • Responsible for interpreting policies, purposes and goals of the organization to fellow employee owners.
  • Adheres and responsible for our Quality Control program.
  • Ensure compliance with company and site safety policies.
  • Responsible for diversity initiatives.
  • Collaborates with PM on DD topics.
  • Develops innovative DD project tools.
  • Develops DD standards and processes in collaboration with production departments.
  • Innovates / Communicates / educates GP about DD standards and processes.
  • Integrates DD into QA/QC process.
  • Responsible for digital quality control and quality assurance.
  • Manages clash detection / reporting / resolution process.
  • Manages Audits of DD models, meta data, reports, etc.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in virtual design and construction, Engineering Technology, or a related field from an accredited program.  Must have 13 to 15 years relevant experience.  
  • A minimum of 7 years of managing complex BIM models across diverse teams.  Must have relevant design and software experience, preferably in the Transmission & Distribution industry with an engineering design and/or project management focus.
  • A minimum of 7 years of planning, training, organizing, and delivering complex BIM models and related digital products across diverse project teams. 
  • Understands Traditional project deliverables.
  • Understands digital delivery software and standards.
  • Ability to integrate multiple BIM models across various software platforms.
  • Expert facilitation, collaboration, organization, and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to thoughtfully and positively influence, lead and manage.
  • Excellent planning and analytical skills.
  • Must demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills; strong interpersonal skills; and the ability to clearly and effectively present complex information to all levels of employees, management, and clients.
  • Ability to execute and integrate DD into EPC projects.
  • Primarily an office working environment.  Must have the ability to use repetitive hand motion and the ability to grasp and type using general office equipment.  Must be able to sit for long periods of time, talk, hear, walk and stand.  Must be able to lift and or move up to 10 pounds. 
  • Travel to a client site may require traversing potentially ungraded ground, steps, ladders, etc.
  • Requires the ability to collect and analyze information to make decisions.  Must have the ability to exercise sound judgment and solve problems; the ability to organize and prioritize responsibilities; the ability to read and apply financial and quantitative analysis; the ability to articulate and speak in front of others; the ability to work under stressful situations, good cognitive skills, ability to maintain accuracy in work, and the ability to concentrate on more than one task at a time.  Must have the ability to understand and apply written/verbal instructions and the ability to delegate instructions.
