Your Responsibilities as an Industrial Hygienist:
- Collect soil, water, air, and/or building material samples.
- Handle a variety of tasks including environmental investigations and assessments including regulatory compliance, asbestos and lead paint inspections and remediation oversight.
- Assist with noise dosimetry, noise mapping, chemical exposure monitoring, personal exposure monitoring, and indoor air quality.
- Conduct mold and asbestos surveys.
- Field monitoring of abatement projects in accordance with applicable federal, state and local regulations.
- Gather, analyze, and interpret data.
- Prepare detailed reports in regards to all related activities on assigned projects.
- Assist with development of project proposals, scope and budgets.
- Identify and understand project needs to ensure timely completion and efficiencies.
- Actively develop your own career growth.
What we're looking for:
- BS in Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, or other related field.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience. IH experience in Massachusetts, Connecticut and/or Rhode Island is a plus.
- Licensed Asbestos Investigator in Massachusetts.
- Experience with data management and report preparation.
- Experience with personal and chemical exposure is a plus.
- Experience with noise dosimetry, sound level measurements, and air monitoring is a plus.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
- Strong technical writing skills, the ability to successfully multi-task.
- Good record of safety and understanding of safe work practices.
- 40-hour HAZWOPER certification, strongly preferred.
- Valid driver's license, good driving record and reliable transportation are required.
- Strong communication skills.
- Willingness to travel.
Desired Certifications:
- Licensed Asbestos Investigator in Massachusetts, Connecticut and/or Rhode Island
- OSHA 10 Hour Construction Safety and Health Training
